Berlin-based startup Plato has raised $14.5M in seed funding led by Atomico to bring generative AI into wholesale distribution. The company integrates with existing ERP systems to automate sales workflows, generate quotes, flag revenue opportunities, and identify risks using historical data. Founded by Benedikt Nolte, who experienced distribution inefficiencies firsthand in his family's business, Plato already works with large distributors on six-figure contracts. The funding will support expansion into procurement and customer service automation, new European markets, and eventually the U.S.
