Windsurf announces pricing changes for their Cascade AI coding assistant after users exceeded the initial 1000 steps per month limit. The Pro tier increases to $15/month with 2000 steps (500 User Prompt + 1500 Flow Action credits), while a new Pro Ultimate tier launches at $60/month with unlimited User Prompt credits and 3000 Flow Action credits. The company explains the high costs are due to premium AI models like Claude 3.5 Sonnet and GPT-4o, and they've introduced a Cascade Base model as a fallback when credits are exhausted.
