Nice overview but do you know why no one has scaled that approach yet? Or why web components continue to loose it to frameworks despite their existence for a long time? And if this was an algorithm, guess the time complexity :)
Maybe we don’t need complex frameworks, but also plain vanilla is not the answer!

This is a great article very clear and informative. Thanks. Its interesting and very quite an eye opener that you don’t really need a framework. I must admit I have become very comfortable with react but when you stop and think about it, its often massive over kill for a site. I have also noticed there is often a problem with teams using front end frame works where teams don’t feel confident they are using them correctly which is not really helpful. But understandable considering the vast amount of different ways of doing things.
