when he learn oop and api-s?
or when je learn laravel?

When should a PHP junior developer start finding a job? Should they focus on learning OOP and APIs or should they also learn Laravel?

Learn basics in any framework. I believe that is a reasonable expectation for a JUNIOR / ENTRY role

Laravel is so easy compared to other frameworks like CodeIgniter 3, Symfony. Even people with basic programming language knowledge can start to laravel after few days playing around in php without framework. Start with laravel +sqlite (for easy configuration).

I’ve been there, that feeling of lost like you dont know where to begin.
I believe that for me, learn the basics HTML, CSS and bit of JS then dig deep into PHP, Basics variables,loops,functions,if else then OOP because OOP is the core of most backend frameworks, lastly MVC structure because its what used like Laravel or Codeigniter if you learn oop then the knowledge is transferable.

depends on the company. There are companies that don’t know what Laravel is or use a different framework. There are companies that use some obscure own home made “framework” (I worked for such a company). I recommend learn good php foundation and basics of a framework like Laravel. I also recommend to learn Symfony. It is harder to learn than Laravel but many companies are using it for their projects.

I think MVC is an important one to understand before starting to find a job. Preferably using a framework.
