People are finally using Reddit's search

Reddit's search investment is paying off with a 30% year-on-year jump in weekly search users, CEO Steve Huffman announced on the Q1 2026 earnings call. Search DAUs, WAUs, and queries are all up meaningfully, with Reddit Answers (AI-powered search) better integrated into the product. The platform also tested AI-powered product placement in search results. Reddit ended Q1 2026 with 493 million weekly active users (up 23% YoY) and 126 million daily active users (up 17% YoY). Revenue hit $663 million, beating Wall Street expectations of $609.8 million. Machine translation across 30+ languages also contributed to international user growth.
