NZXT, a pre-built PC and rental company, has settled a class-action lawsuit for $3.45 million over its Flex PC rental program. Nearly 20,000 customers accused the company of a bait-and-switch scheme, claiming NZXT advertised PCs with specific components but delivered lower-quality hardware, and misrepresented the program as having no contracts, no cancellation fees, and as a rent-to-own arrangement. The settlement includes approximately $923,000 in debt forgiveness, a $1.45 million cash fund, and $1.2 million in PC retention relief. Customers who paid into the program for two or more years may be allowed to keep their PCs. The settlement still awaits final judge approval.
