Starbreeze's Q4 2025 fiscal report reveals that Payday 2, a 13-year-old game, generated SEK 14.8 million in net sales compared to Payday 3's SEK 8 million in the same period. While Payday 3 led for the full year (SEK 76.5M vs SEK 50.1M), its annual sales have collapsed from SEK 477M at launch in 2023 to SEK 76.5M in 2025. CEO Adolf Kristjansson, appointed in March 2025, highlights a stable monthly update cadence, the Skills 2.0 update, and new heist content as signs of progress. Starbreeze also reduced headcount from 189 to 143 employees and is reassessing its work-for-hire segment to focus resources on Payday 3's recovery.
