Parallels Desktop has confirmed compatibility with Apple's new $599 MacBook Neo, which uses the A18 Pro chip. Initial testing shows virtual machines install and run stably. However, the MacBook Neo's fixed 8GB RAM is a key limitation — a Windows 11 VM requires at least 4GB, leaving only 4GB for macOS. Parallels recommends the MacBook Neo only for light, occasional Windows use such as legacy tools, not for CPU- or GPU-intensive workloads. For heavier VM use, the MacBook Air M5 (starting at $1,099 with 16GB RAM) is the suggested alternative.
