GitNexus is an open-source tool that indexes codebases into a knowledge graph, exposing it to AI coding agents via MCP. It supports two modes: a CLI that indexes repos locally using KuzuDB and Tree-sitter, and a browser-based Web UI running entirely in WebAssembly. The MCP server provides 7 tools including impact analysis, hybrid search, 360-degree symbol context, git-diff change detection, and multi-file rename. It integrates with Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, and OpenCode. Unlike traditional Graph RAG, GitNexus precomputes relational structure at index time so agents get complete context in a single query. Supports 12 languages and includes wiki generation, multi-repo management, and agent skills for Claude Code.
