Outersloth, the indie fund established by Among Us developer Innersloth, has rejected every generative AI pitch it has ever received. Out of roughly 3,400 total pitches received, about 50% are immediately rejected, with around 30% of those rejections being GenAI submissions. Only 1% of pitches make it to the final round, and to date the fund has financed 24 titles totaling over $19 million. Communications director Victoria Tran says the team looks for games with 'soul' rather than following rigid metrics, while still requiring that budgets and timelines be realistic and well-considered. Outersloth has also published its full contract and revenue split terms publicly.
