Oura has acquired Doublepoint, a Helsinki-based startup specializing in gesture recognition technology that uses AI and biometric data to let users control wearables through natural hand movements. The deal brings Doublepoint's four founders and AI team into Oura, with plans to integrate gesture controls into Oura's smart rings alongside voice interaction as part of its ambient AI strategy. Oura, currently valued at ~$11 billion and having sold 5.5 million rings, forecasts over $1.5 billion in sales for 2026. This is Oura's fourth acquisition, following Sparta Science, Veri, and Proxy.
