Cisco has launched the AI Technical Practitioner (AITECH) certification targeting technical professionals who want to build practical AI skills. The certification covers generative AI models, prompt engineering, ethics and security, data analysis, development workflow automation, and agentic AI including MCP and human-in-the-loop strategies. The learning path uses scenario-based exercises grounded in real-world business contexts rather than pure theory. A key framework presented is four questions engineers should ask before deploying AI: whether AI can solve the problem, which type to use, how to prompt it, and whether the output is correct. The AITECH Learning Path is currently free on Cisco U. through March 26, 2026.
