OpenAI GPT-5.5 now available on Databricks, fully-governed through Unity AI Gateway

Databricks now natively supports OpenAI's GPT-5.5 model, governed through Unity AI Gateway. Enterprise customers can use GPT-5.5 for coding workflows via Codex, building custom agents with Agent Bricks, natural language data queries through Genie, and document intelligence pipelines via Lakeflow Spark Declarative Pipelines. Unity AI Gateway provides centralized security, cost controls, and observability across all GPT-5.5 usage. The integration is available on AWS, Azure, and GCP.
