OpenAI has launched a preview of Codex for mobile devices within the ChatGPT mobile app on iOS and Android. The feature lets developers manage agentic coding work remotely — reviewing outputs, approving commands, switching models, and starting new tasks — all from their phones. Files, credentials, and local setup remain on the host machine while updates stream to the phone in real time. Additional capabilities announced include Remote SSH, Hooks, programmatic access tokens for Business and Enterprise plans, and HIPAA-compliant Codex use for eligible ChatGPT Enterprise workspaces.
