BasicRUM is an open source Real User Monitoring tool scheduled for public release in Q1 2026. The self-hosted solution offers GDPR-friendly data ownership, AI-powered chart summaries and chatbot queries, and dashboards for analyzing Core Web Vitals and network metrics. Built with React, TypeScript, and Node.js, it has been battle-tested handling 40 million events over two days on a budget VM. The tool includes dark mode UI, performance bottleneck identification features, and has been validated by three test groups with requirements up to 300K requests per day.
