ONWARD Medical, an Eindhoven-based neurotechnology company, has raised €40.6M through a private placement anchored by EQT Life Sciences. Proceeds will fund the Empower BP pivotal trial testing its implantable ARC-IM® system for treating blood pressure instability after spinal cord injury, and expand commercial sales of its already-cleared ARC-EX® external spinal cord stimulation system. The raise extends the company's cash runway to Q1 2028. The ARC-IM® system also targets bladder function and, combined with a brain-computer interface and AI, thought-driven movement restoration. ONWARD holds 10 FDA Breakthrough Device Designations.
