A new Linux kernel driver called 'hid-oxp' (OneXPlayer Configuration Driver), developed by Derek Clark of Valve, is queued for the Linux 7.2 kernel cycle. The driver enables RGB lighting controls (brightness, effects, speed, toggle), vibration intensity settings, and hardware-level button mapping for OneXPlayer gaming handhelds. It is GPLv2+ licensed and already merged into the HID subsystem's for-7.2/oxp and for-next Git branches, ahead of the Linux 7.2 merge window in June.
