The Linux Cast

A YouTuber criticizes the trend of Linux content creators making reaction videos to influencers switching to Linux. The main concerns are that these reactions make Linux adoption seem more difficult than it is, create a judgmental atmosphere that may discourage newcomers, and often serve as clickbait rather than providing constructive help. While acknowledging his own participation in this trend, the creator argues these videos do more harm than good for Linux adoption and suggests focusing on constructive criticism instead.

OMG! You'll NEVER Guess Who Switched to Linux!

I think people are focusing on Arch Linux because of PewDiePie and ThePrimeagen, but the reality is that ArchLinux is known for being hard and is not the distro most people use when switching to linux anyways.
DHH has been advocating how easy it is to start developing on linux, for example.

The title it total clickbait, the information isn’t really helpful. It is just someone posting a link to their own video somewhere else.
i know about the “Clickbait Shield”, just wanted to give a concrete example of the kind of content we have discussed!
