Project NOMAD (Node for Offline Media, Archives, and Data) is a free, open source offline server that bundles Wikipedia via Kiwix, local LLMs via Ollama, offline maps via OpenStreetMap, and educational content via Kolibri into a single deployable system. It targets emergency preparedness, off-grid living, and self-hosting enthusiasts. Unlike similar paid products, it runs on any Ubuntu/Debian machine with GPU support and installs via a single curl command. Community builds range from refurbished desktops to GPU-powered rigs.
