Understand the Observer design pattern with a real-world example

Hashnode is a community-driven platform for developers to share knowledge, ask questions, and connect with peers in the tech industry. A real-world example of the Pub/Sub Pattern. A township with several hundred households. Each house would need some basic necessities like electricity, water, gas. There would be a municipal corporation that would be providing these facilities to each house. A house owner who wants to avail these facilities would have to subscribe for each facility that they need with the municipal corporation.

<p>I like the explanation - pattern was implemented from scratch and it’s clear at the end, but what I’m missing are some real world examples  - not only “it’s used in redux, react”, but some concrete examples</p>
