The two types of Linux users

Linux users exist on a spectrum between two extremes: newcomers who focus on aesthetics and trendy tools without deep understanding, and grizzled veterans with powerful workflows but resistance to modern improvements. The ideal approach balances learning fundamental Unix utilities while staying open to beneficial new tools, avoiding both superficial trend-hopping and stubborn isolation.
