libxml2-ee is a fork of libxml2, an XML parser and toolkit written in C, offering significant improvements including up to 10x faster SIMD-accelerated parsing, guaranteed linear behavior to prevent denial-of-service attacks, 64-bit hardening, improved fuzz coverage, and full meson build system support. Licensed under AGPL-3.0, it supports multiple build systems (meson, CMake, Autotools) and platforms (POSIX and Windows). The project does not accept code contributions and redirects contributors to the upstream libxml2 project. Security is a focus, with all known public issues fixed and aevum GmbH acting as open-source steward under the EU Cyber Resilience Act.
