Nvidia's latest app update introduces Auto Shader Compilation (beta), a feature that compiles shaders in the background while a game is running, reducing the wait time after GPU driver updates. Previously, each new driver required recompiling already-installed shaders, adding minutes to game launch times. The feature must be manually enabled via Global Settings > Shader Cache, where users can also configure storage limits and resource usage levels (Low/Medium/High). It only works after shaders have been compiled at least once.
