NVIDIA DRIVE AV software is launching in the Mercedes-Benz CLA with enhanced level 2 driver assistance capabilities in the US by end of 2026. The system uses a dual-stack architecture combining end-to-end AI models for driving with a classical safety stack (NVIDIA Halos) for redundancy. Key features include point-to-point urban navigation, proactive collision avoidance, and automated parking. The development pipeline spans cloud-based training on DGX systems, validation in Omniverse/Cosmos simulation environments, and in-vehicle compute via DRIVE AGX. Mercedes-Benz is also using Omniverse for digital factory twins to optimize manufacturing.
