Nothing has mandated all 450 employees to work from the company's London office five days a week, citing improved collaboration and innovation as the reasons. Nothing is a consumer electronics company, which objectively will work better in person. Think design prototypes, hardware testing, etc.
I’m more concerned by 5-day mandates from companies like Amazon. Not because I want to work at Amazon, but because smaller tech companies take leadership cues from big tech.
IMO I think Amazon has bigger challenges than RTO, but that’s a post for another thread.

It would have been a better PR campaign to go back to the office full-time but only a 4-day week.
Scientifically proven that we don’t need 40-hour work weeks and productivity increases the more urgency we create by having less time.
Let your creative people have more leisure time to stimulate their creativity.

Inevitable but the lead time is too short. Families will have to make significant adjustments and I don’t think he’s taken that into account. Also, good luck summarily dismissing people under UK Employment Law. This isn’t America and employment is not at-will. If anything is to be gained from this, it is that the Employment Tribunal courts will be tested.
