Nintendo has announced price increases for the Switch 2 across multiple regions, citing changes in market conditions. In Japan, the Switch 2 Japanese-language system rises from ¥49,980 to ¥59,980 effective May 25, 2026, while the original Switch lineup and Nintendo Switch Online subscription prices also increase. In the US, the Switch 2 goes from $449.99 to $499.99; Canada from $629.99 to $679.99; and Europe from €469.99 to €499.99 — all effective September 1, 2026. Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa had previously flagged potential price hikes due to ongoing memory component shortages.
