A comprehensive roundup of Nickel language improvements since version 1.0 (May 2023). Key additions include algebraic data types (enum variants with payloads), significantly expanded pattern matching for arrays, records, and constants, field punning via the `include` keyword, multi-variable let blocks with mutual recursion support, and reworked contract constructors with better eagerness control. Performance has improved dramatically — up to 10x for large configurations — with a bytecode interpreter in progress. The standard library has roughly doubled in size.
