NFC Record Player Promotes Intentional Listening

Coconauts built Minilos, an NFC-based record player that brings intentionality back to music listening. Small decorative coasters printed with album art carry NFC tags that trigger an ESP32 microcontroller to play the corresponding album. In the current setup, the ESP32 communicates with a Home Assistant server, which instructs a Google Speaker to stream the album via Spotify. The project mimics the ritual of selecting and playing a physical record while using modern streaming infrastructure.
