Newzoo's PC & Console Gaming Report reveals that PC games outside the Top 20 now account for 56% of revenue (up from 48% in 2022) and 45% of playtime (up from 33%) in Western markets. Action RPGs and survival games drove this growth, with titles like Path of Exile 2, Monster Hunter Wilds, and back-catalogue games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Elden Ring performing well. On consoles, spending remains more concentrated in the Top 20, though PlayStation's lower-ranked titles grew to 38% of revenue. Xbox's Game Pass subscription model helps drive playtime for non-top titles, giving them visibility they might not otherwise achieve.
