PCB Forge is a new tool by castpixel that lets makers quickly produce custom PCBs using a 3D printer and copper tape—no etching, chemicals, or routing required. The process involves printing a base and a companion mold, covering the base with conductive copper tape, pressing the mold to form traces, sanding off excess copper, and soldering components directly. PCB designs are created in any vector editor, exported as SVG, and uploaded to the tool which auto-generates the 3D-printable files with proper clearances. While not suitable for complex multi-layer boards, it's a fast and accessible method for simple prototypes.
