Callstack is building a new React Native framework targeting large enterprise teams with complex apps. The framework addresses common pain points: slow build times, lack of build reuse across CI jobs, and difficult onboarding for web developers. Key innovations include using @expo/fingerprint for reliable build caching on GitHub Actions, reducing build times from 34 to 3 minutes in one client case. The framework is self-hosted, modular, and supports incremental adoption from Community CLI. It is not yet publicly available but will be open-sourced soon, with a waiting list open for early access.
