Android Studio now includes granular agent permissions that give developers explicit control over what AI agents can access and do. When agent mode needs to read files, run shell commands, or access the web, it asks for permission each time or can be set to always allow for trusted operations. High-level permissions automatically authorize related subtools, while sensitive resources like SSH keys always require explicit approval. An optional sandbox provides additional control over agent behavior.
