The Linux 7.1 kernel's hardware monitoring (HWMON) subsystem updates have been merged, bringing several notable additions. A new 'yogafan' driver supports fan speed monitoring on various Lenovo laptops including Yoga, Legion, Flex, Slim, and IdeaPad models via ACPI and embedded controller interfaces. New drivers also land for the Infineon XDP720 eFuse, LattePanda Sigma EC, Microchip MCP998X, and GPD Win 5 handheld. Additionally, three more ASUS ROG motherboards (Z790-H, X470-F, and CROSSHAIR X670E) gain hardware sensor monitoring support through the ASUS-EC-Sensors driver.
