Confluent Intelligence has expanded with five new capabilities for building real-time AI systems on Confluent Cloud. Agent-to-Agent (A2A) integration (Open Preview) lets Streaming Agents collaborate with external agents on platforms like LangChain, CrewAI, SAP, and Salesforce over a Kafka backbone. Multivariate Anomaly Detection (Early Access) introduces the ML_DETECT_ANOMALIES_ROBUST Flink SQL function to detect anomalies across correlated metrics simultaneously. Vector Search now supports Azure Cosmos DB and Amazon S3 Vectors (GA) for RAG pipelines in Flink. AWS and Azure Private Link (GA) enables secure VPC-to-VPC connectivity for model inference and external data access. Finally, Confluent now provides official vendor-backed support for the open source MCP server, enabling AI agents to access Confluent Cloud data and operations via the Model Context Protocol.
