Booking.com has confirmed a security breach in which unauthorized third parties accessed booking information for some users, including full names, email addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers, and communications with property providers. The company responded by forcing PIN resets on affected reservations and notifying impacted users via email. No app notifications were sent, causing confusion among users about the legitimacy of the emails. The number of affected users has not been disclosed. Some users also reported being targeted by scammers who appeared to have access to private reservation details, though a direct link to this breach is unconfirmed.
