AMD has introduced a new Linux kernel driver called SFS (Seamless Firmware Servicing) that enables secure, non-persistent firmware updates without requiring BIOS reflashing or system reboots. The driver works as a PSP sub-device and uses TEE mailbox interface to communicate with AMD's ASP/PSP, allowing updates to ASP firmware, modules, and other microprocessors while improving system stability and reducing maintenance downtime.
