Google Cloud and Future Connections are expanding the Autonomous Network Operations framework with two new AI agents: the Autonomous Data Steward and the Core Network VoLTE Agent. The Autonomous Data Steward is a Gemini-powered agent that solves telecom data silo problems using a zero-copy architecture with Dataplex Universal Catalog, enabling semantic data discovery, dynamic ETL creation, and cross-domain data unification. The Core Network VoLTE Agent builds on this foundation to provide real-time IMS/VoLTE monitoring, intelligent root cause analysis of call quality issues, and autonomous remediation recommendations. New Zealand operator One NZ has already deployed the VoLTE Agent in production. Both agents have been open-sourced to allow operators to build custom agentic workflows.
