DigitalOcean App Platform now supports native .NET buildpacks, enabling developers to deploy .NET applications directly from a Git repository without Dockerfiles. The platform automatically detects .NET projects (via .sln, .csproj, .fsproj, etc.), selects the correct SDK version (8.0, 9.0, or 10.0) from TargetFramework or global.json, runs dotnet restore and dotnet publish with Release configuration, and registers ASP.NET Core apps as web process types. Deployment is available via the control panel, CLI (doctl), or API. The feature uses the Heroku .NET buildpack v42 on Ubuntu 22 and is available in all App Platform regions.
