MacOS's space-switching animation is frustrating and Apple has ignored requests to disable it. After surveying existing solutions (Reduce Motion setting, yabai, FlashSpace/AeroSpace virtual workspaces, BetterTouchTool), the author recommends InstantSpaceSwitcher — a lightweight menu bar app on GitHub that simulates a high-velocity trackpad swipe to achieve instant space switching without disabling System Integrity Protection or requiring a full tiling window manager. Build instructions and CLI usage are provided since they're missing from the README.
