A mysterious AI model called Hunter Alpha that appeared anonymously on OpenRouter on March 11 has been revealed as Xiaomi's MiMo-V2-Pro, an early internal test build from its AI team MiMo. The model, led by former DeepSeek researcher Luo Fuli, is a trillion-parameter model with a one-million-token context window designed to power AI agents. It had initially sparked speculation that DeepSeek was quietly testing its next-generation V4 model. Xiaomi's shares surged 5.8% following the announcement. MiMo-V2-Pro will partner with five major agent frameworks, including OpenClaw, offering a week of free developer access worldwide.
