A developer shares frustrations with existing life-tracking apps — too simplistic, too judgmental, or too social — and explains how they built their own iOS app called Liff. The app uses 6 sliders based on life categories (Love, Friendship, Health, Family, Spirit, Work) instead of a single mood rating, avoids social sharing, and deliberately withholds judgment on user input. Built with SteroidsJs/PhoneGap, it was released free on iOS with Android planned.
