After gaining experience in developing web applications and expanding my skills in <code>backend development</code>, I ventured into learning <code>ElectronJS</code> and <code>CapacitorJs</code> to create cross-platform applications. However, I realized the importance of seamless deployment to avoid the classic “it works on my machine” problem. This led me to master <code>Docker</code> and its powerful feature, <code>Docker Compose</code>.
Looking for design inspiration, I came across the stunning and functional work of designer Yanka Darelova. Inspired, I decided to transform her design into a real application. It was a challenging yet rewarding experience, as I built the entire app using <code>Vue 3 Composition APIs</code>. At the time, I wasn’t fully proficient in the framework, but the process significantly enhanced my skills in <code>Vue 3</code>, <code>TypeScript</code>, and <code>Sass/SCSS</code>.
To complete the project, I deployed the application with an <code>ExpressJs</code> backend and <code>Mongo</code> database, using <code>Nginx</code> for load balancing and reverse proxying. The result is a secure application, running on HTTPS with SSL encryption, which you can explore at <a href="https://baderidris.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow"><code>baderidris.com</code></a>. I later transitioned the entire application to <code>NuxtJS</code> with server-side rendering <code>(SSR)</code> for improved performance, and I added <code>i18n</code> support for SEO-friendly multilingual capabilities in Arabic, English, and Spanish.

The game is decent and a good take on the classic snake game. However, the main appeal of snake games lies in their simplicity so intuitive that even a 2-year-old could grasp them. This is why the older versions avoided features like “the glow” and possibly Bloom effects (though hardware limitations were also a factor).
While the glow you added might enhance the game’s aesthetics, it doesn’t serve a functional purpose. Instead, it adds a slight layer of complexity to what should remain a straightforward experience. This complexity detracts from player satisfaction, which should be the ultimate goal of any game.
But all in all, I think this is a good attempt.
