Since 2020, I’ve been working on my desk setup, and I think I finally
have it mostly pulled together at this point. I don’t really think
my desk setup is very novel, and I’m sure there are better ways to pull
it together, but I will say that it finally works the way I want
since I added the CalDigit TS5 Plus,
which has been a long time coming.
My requirements for my desk are:

$800 just for fancy cable management?! No, thanks.

Just one monitor? How about a KVM for single-button switching. If you’re lucky you can even do it with a hotkey on your keyboard.

Too clean for me. I got 4 monitors, a bunch of star wars stuff on my desk. My primary machine is a pc. I use the mac mini for only building mac apps.
This setup would limit my ability to develop apps other than MAC apps. When developing apps for a particular OS, I try to build natively.
Jetbrains allows me to switch tools for which OS I am working on.

No wide screeen? That’s so sad…
