The Archer five-axis 3D printer by [multipoleguy] advances non-planar FDM printing with automatic four-hotend toolchanging and a CoreXY motion system. The print bed sits on three ball joints with independent rails, enabling two-axis tilting. A custom slicer called MaxiSlicer is in development, already capable enough to handle complex multicolor prints — a three-color double helix requiring 830 tool changes was completed with only 6 grams of purge waste, achieved through firmware-level purge optimization based on hotend idle time.
