GitHub released a multi-platform SDK (Python, TypeScript, Go, .NET) for embedding Copilot's agentic workflows into applications. The SDK exposes the same engine behind Copilot CLI, handling orchestration, planning, tool invocation, and file edits programmatically. It communicates with Copilot CLI via JSON-RPC and requires a GitHub Copilot subscription. Currently in technical preview, it supports custom agents, tools, and skills, with all first-party tools enabled by default.
