Shopify's Admin GraphQL API (2026-04) now supports multi-channel connections within a single sales channel app. Previously, developers needed separate apps for different accounts, markets, or surfaces. Now a single app can establish multiple distinct channels on the same shop, each with its own specification file and external account. New apps should add a Channel Config extension and define one spec file per target channel. Existing apps should migrate legacy single-channel APIs to the new channel connection model and update any code that assumes one channel per app to pass explicit channel IDs. Several single-channel APIs are now deprecated in favor of multi-channel equivalents.
