Fedora Linux is now accessible in Syria after the Fedora Infrastructure Team lifted IP blocks on February 10, 2026. This change follows the U.S. repeal of the 2019 Caesar Act sanctions in December 2025, which removed Syria from the OFAC embargoed countries list. The restoration allows Syrians to download Fedora ISOs, access RPM repositories, and use Fedora services like the Account System and build systems. The change required months of legal review with Red Hat and IBM to ensure compliance with U.S. federal laws.
