Mozilla is launching Thunderbird Pro, a suite of paid professional services for its open-source Thunderbird email client. The package includes Thunderbird Appointment for scheduling, Thunderbird Send for file sharing, Thunderbird Assist with AI capabilities, and Thundermail, a redesigned email client. Initially free for consistent community contributors, it will have paid access for others. This initiative aims to compete with Gmail and Office 365 while modernizing Thunderbird's codebase.
