Tigris Data introduces tigrisfs, a FUSE-based filesystem that mounts object storage buckets as local directories. Built as a fork of geesefs, it enables seamless access to cloud data through standard filesystem operations while maintaining S3 API compatibility. The tool supports unlimited storage capacity, global data accessibility across machines, and automatic caching for performance. Benchmarks show throughput of up to 2.8 GiB/sec for reads and 1.3 GiB/sec for writes, making it suitable for big data processing, AI training, and analytics workloads that require filesystem-based data access.
