Cisco has announced the Cisco AI Grid with NVIDIA, a full-stack reference architecture enabling service providers to deliver real-time AI inferencing at the network edge. Built on Cisco UCS servers with NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs, Cisco Nexus switching, and integrated zero-trust security, the platform integrates with Cisco Mobility Services Platform to help telcos monetize their networks as distributed AI platforms. AT&T is the first operator to deploy it, starting with near real-time AI inferencing for public safety at AT&T's Discovery District. SoftBank is also exploring the technology for its Telco AI Cloud vision. The platform targets use cases like robotics, autonomous vehicles, public safety, and industrial automation, supporting low-latency AI workloads across distributed endpoints.
